Copied to clipboard!Nomenclatural status
Taxonomic status: This record is treated as an illegitimate name.
Name details
Published: in Yang, Y., Wang, Z.H. & Xu, X.-T., Taxon. & Distrib. Global Gymnosp.: 65 (2017).
Nomenclatural notes: The authors proposed this name as a replacement name for the validly published but illegitimate (superfluous) name Cycas gracilis Y.Y.Huang, Y.C.Zhong & Z.F.Lu (in J. Pl. Genet. Resources 9(4): 525-527). However, before that, Yang et al. (2017) had published the new name Cycas panshuiensis Y.Yang, explicitly replacing C. gracilis, making C. panshuiensis the legitimate replacement name (a nomen novum), and C. baiseensis an illegitimate name.
