Nomenclatural notes: As 'mackenzii' . Illegitimate name. Later homonym for Macrozamia mackenziei W.Bull published in Retail List [Bull] No. 129: 7. 1877. Both names were published with descriptions based on plants from William Bull and include the same illustration. This publication is dated May 26, 1877 whereas the publication in Bull's catalogue is not precisely dated but refers to a future plant show occurring on May 23rd of the same year (p. 169) .
