Nomenclature notes: Invalid name. Nomen nudum. Liebman likely intended to publish this species, as there is an Illustration of his at U herbarium showing what is clearly a Ceratozamia, Thiselton-Dyer treated it as synonym of Ceratozamia mexicana, but the name was never validly published.
