Abstract
Dioon planifolium Salas-Mor. Chemnick & T.J.Greg. is described from northwestern Oaxaca, Mexico.
This cycad, which grows in a dry habitat rich in cactus and succulents, is the first to be found in the Mixteca
region of Mexico.
