Abstract

An account of the Cycas media group for New Guinea (Papua New Guinea and lrian Jaya) is presented and includes a key to the species, a discussion of distribution (with maps), and illustrations of the species. Three species are recognised, one new (Cycas campestris) and two that are reinstated from synonymy (C. papuana and C. schumanniana). Infrageneric relationships are discussed, section Endemicae Schuster is lectotypified, and the new series Armstrongianosae is described.
