Etymology: In memory of Dr. Oliver Sacks (1933–2015), distinguished neurologist, science historian, lover of cycads—which he expressed in his book, Island of the Color Blind and Cycad Island (1997)—and lover of Oaxaca—which he revealed in his memoir, Oaxaca Journal (2002). [source]
